Technical Specifications

Before you continue check the requirements below. If you have any problems, call one of UI&U's librarians (1-800-336-6794, ext 8747).

1. Browser

You'll need at least Netscape 4.0 or Internet Explorer 4.0 to use Library Research Guide. You can go to either the Netscape or Microsoft site; they will tell you what version you are currently using. If it is lower than 4.0, you'll need to download a higher (free) version from their site.

2. Plug-ins

To experience all the effects, you'll need the Shockwave Flash plug-in, a free application that enhances your browser and makes this site interactive. If you can see the animation below...

...you already have the plug-in. If you can't see anything, go to the Macromedia Flash Player Download Center and follow their downloading directions. Or, you can click on "Non-Flash Version", whenever you get to a Flash page.
