Dissertation

The Dissertation integrates and adds to the learning accomplished in other phases of the learner's program. It addresses the appropriate intellectual, cultural, and/or artistic traditions of the field and signifies grounding in the theoretical and critical scholarship in this field. It allows the learner to exercise his/her originality and creativity so the work provides new knowledge and approaches to the larger scholarly community.

A completed Dissertation must demonstrate an advanced level of knowledge: that you can critically examine a problem, integrate information, operationalize concepts, implement a research project and communicate the essential aspects of the study. The Dissertation must be relevant to the advancement of knowledge about a professional practice in education.
